Mrs. Nickerson graduated from the University of Maine in 1982 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. She returned to the University of Maine where she received a Master’s in Education in 1990 in teaching Literacy.

Mrs. Nickerson worked 18 years as a classroom teacher in both Hampden and Winterport, teaching reading, first grade and second grade. She took some time off to be with her family before joining the Pre-K classroom in Dedham in 2004.

Mr. and Mrs. Nickerson have been residents of Dedham for more than 20 years. They enjoy living on Phillips Lake with their two golden retrievers. She enjoys gardening, kayaking and reading.
