About Me

Hi! My name is Anna Spaulding and I am so excited to be starting my third year teaching at Dedham School! 

I grew up in Brewer and graduated from Brewer High School in 2019. I attended the University of Maine and received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in December 2022. I was lucky enough to do my student teaching here at Dedham in grades 3 and K. The following year, I began my teaching career as the 7th grade homeroom teacher. I taught science my first two years, and am extremely excited to be transitioning to ELA, as reading and writing have always been my passion! 

Here at Dedham I am the cheering coach, run the student council and yearbook committee, and do choreography for the school musical. 

In my free time, I love to attend concerts, travel, read, spend time with friends and my cats, and play tennis. I also have a passion for theater. I spent five years directing children's musicals at Next Generation Theatre in Brewer, as well as performing in shows myself. 

This is going to be a great year!
