Dedham High School Graduation Requirements are as follows:

1.) Earn a total of one hundred and eleven credits (111).

2.) Pass the following CORE requirements:

• 4 years of English

• 4 years of Mathematics

• 3 years of Social Studies

• 3 years of Science

• 2 years of the same Foreign Language

• 2 semesters of Health/Wellness (Wellness 1 & Wellness 2)

• 4 years of Physical Education (this includes Wellness 1 & Wellness 2)

• 2 semesters of Computers, Drama, Art, Chorus or Band (with permission of Director only)

*Wood Technology courses and Yearbook does not count towards this requirement*

3.) All students are required to complete forty (40) hours of Community Service. Adjusted hours due to the pandemic:

Class of 2023 - 20 hours, Class of 2024 - 30 hours, Class of 2025 - 40 hours, Class of 2026 - 40 hours.

4.) Students must take and successfully complete a minimum of twenty-five (25) credits in the senior year.

5.) Students must pass state-mandated test MCAS exams (Science, ELA, and Mathematics). Students who pass but are not proficient in ELA or Math will receive an Educational Proficiency Plan (EPP).

6.) Students must be enrolled in six (6) courses unless approved by an administrator.
