Do you often feel overwhelmed? Do you sometimes wonder if your depression, stress, or anxiety is more than just a passing mood? When was the last time you really checked in with your emotions or thought about what gives you worry or happiness?
Constant feelings of being overwhelmed, stuck, stressed, or depressed often originate from unresolved past experiences from childhood or adulthood.
Continuing despite these feelings can lead to serious consequences.
How I Support Change
I provide a person-centered, trauma-informed, culturally humble dialogue integrated with holistic approaches to help you process past experiences, break long-held patterns, build self-trust, and reconnect with your body’s wisdom.
Personally, I have firsthand experience with long-term suffering and chronic pain.
Professionally, I have over twenty years of experience supporting adult survivors with issues ranging from childhood neglect, maltreatment, and abuse to surviving war.
Together, we’ll create practical ways to foster self-regulation, self-compassion, and meaningful change.
(Telehealth/Video/Phone Only)
My approach is integrative and interdisciplinary, offering tools to down-regulate your mind & body, helping you navigate decision paralysis and feelings of overwhelm or being stuck, while shifting unwanted behaviors to experience a more fully alive present.
I maintain a person-centered approach. You are the expert in your own life. Together, we will develop the best strategies to support your goals.
Furthermore, my practice is distinctly rooted in research-driven, evidence-based, client-focused, and embodied practices.

MY BACKGROUND
I am a licensed certified social worker (LCSW) in Massachusetts, a military veteran, and a classically trained actor with an MFA and a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a certificate in trauma practice. I work virtually with adult individuals navigating trauma, identity, and transition—especially those impacted by complex PTSD, childhood neglect, and military service. My clinical focus includes supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI).
I bring a unique, integrative approach that blends neuroscience, embodiment, and narrative practices, rooted in both professional training and personal lived experience. As someone who has worked in trauma healing and expressive arts for over two decades, I deeply believe in the power of connection, creativity, and compassionate presence.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am the founding director of DE-CRUIT®, an evidence-based trauma recovery program that uses classical theater—especially Shakespeare—as a tool for healing. My work has been featured in over 20 peer-reviewed publications, and I regularly present at conferences such as the International Trauma Conference, the Trauma Research Foundation, and the Psychotherapy Networker Symposium. In Prague, I am a mental health consultant for Prague Shakespeare Company.
What is our definition of trauma?
We define "trauma" as, any event or environment that fundamentally and negatively changes how we perceive ourselves, others, and the world in relation to our safety.
***
What does intergenerational and transgenerational trauma mean?
We believe and accept the historically held and scientifically proven concept that trauma can be passed down from one generation to the next.
Intergenerational trauma generally refers to the transfer of trauma effects from parents to children, often via behavioral, social, or environmental mechanisms.
Transgenerational trauma generally specifically emphasizes biological or epigenetic transmission, where trauma affects offspring who were not directly exposed to the original event

How do you work?
We meet clients where they are to create a supportive, non-judgmental, guilt-free space where you can take the time and space you need to express what you feel, not what you should say.
What do the terms holistic, integrative, and embodied approach mean?
Holistic—In this approach, we consider your whole person when working with you, not just symptoms or diagnoses. We also consider your mind, body, and spirit, along with your family history, social circles, and how systems and institutions impact or oppress you.
Integrative—In this approach, we combine traditional, evidence-based talk therapy techniques with evidence-based embodied methods such as mindful breathing, tapping, and arts-based practices.
Embodied—Often called “somatic” approaches, which means we see the mind and body as connected to help you release trauma, tension, and emotions that are “stuck” in your body to improve emotional regulation, safety, and self-awareness.
What do you mean by “function, not fault?”
We believe that your behaviors and reactions are survival instincts rather than flaws or failures. The good news is that these responses and behaviors can be rewired and managed to give you greater control over your life, actions, and reactions.
