I chose this topic because nature is very important to me. I have visited many beautiful forests, and I can't imagine what the world would look like if we cut them all down. By educating others on the changes that are taking place every day in our world, I hope to inspire others to change their habits and expand their knowledge to continue to preserve and protect our forests.
Abstract: Deforestation has been happening for hundreds of years, but more recent changes have been taking place due to the process of clearing forests, caused by the increasing demand for resources, expanding agriculture boundaries, and poor consuming habits, forests are becoming a problem instead of a solution to the rapidly changing climate. As trees are cut down, more carbon emissions are released, weather patterns are changed, and ecosystems become more threatened than ever in human history. While deforestation rates are slowing, it is important to repair the damage that has been done before more changes take place.
