Welcome to the Carson Art Room!
Art Expectations:
At Carson Elementary School, the art room is our studio and every child is an artist. An artist will think outside of the box, plan, and adjust their plans as they learn to stretch and explore. An artist will share ideas with others, work together on community projects, and celebrate their own original ideas. Art brings imagination to life. Art helps students to learn to engage and persist through planning, adjusting and creating. Through the art making process, each young artist is learning leadership skills they will carry with them for life. Let's celebrate each of our young artists here at Carson!

Hi, My Name is Mrs. Schramm...Schramm I am, I do not like Green Eggs & Ham!
When I was little, I loved Dr. Seuss books so much, I wanted to write children's books when I grew up. Instead of lemonade stands, I would draw pictures and make art stands on the sidewalk by my home. People passing by, would stop by my stand and buy pictures for a dollar. I grew up in a small farm town known as "The Valley of Arts and Flowers." Every year there would be a Flower Festival where local artist would come set up art stands and paint in the "Plenaire" or open air. They would paint pictures of the flower fields all around our town and sell their work on the spot. The local artists, I was surrounded by, along with the fact that I love being around kids, contributed to me wanting to be an art teacher. Our kids at Carson Elementary are so imaginative and creative...it makes me excited to see what they will come up with next. My favorite part about teaching art, is seeing our young artists excited about creating their choice projects. My husband Scott, enjoys the stories I come home with and my two dogs, "Ginger and Pepper" love being mascots in the art room!
