Marker

• E-tutors will be renamed Markers and will be contracted to only mark assignments. The ratio will be 1 marker to 70 students.

• Markers will be recruited for courses with 45 students or more.

• Markers will be sourced from our existing facilitator / e-tutor pool.

• It is being proposed that the number of assignments per course be reduced to only 3 assignments with 40% of the overall course assessment being assigned to a group activity / project and 60% assigned to two individual assignments.

• Markers, in collaboration with the CI, will provide feedback to students on assignments.

• Markers will be paid USD$5 per student assignment / script.

Note: Since 100% continuous assessment will be employed, CIs should be in communication with Markers to review sample scripts and marks to gauge students’ performance as the Semester progresses.
