In an effort to condense information locations, this site will serve as a one-stop shop for any activities involving Dearborn First United Methodist Church Youth and Young Adults. View our calendar of upcoming events, which are open to all! We have two main weekly events: Donuts, Discipleship, and Dialogue (which takes place Sunday mornings during worship, continuining throughout the summer) and Gifts in Action (which takes place Wednesday evenings 6-7PM and will resume in September).
Join us at Ford Lanes for a fun night out with bowling and pizza!
Park hours are 10AM-10PM on July 30. Plan is to arrive around 9:30 AM and leave at 8:00 PM.
We will be in the park for Lunch/Dinner. We will provide an assortment of breakfast snacks for those carpooling. You may either opt to send your youth with money for lunch/dinner or consider one of the food packages. Cedar Point does not allow outside food and with temperatures it would not be safe to leave food in the cars to eat later.
Parents who are willing to come and chaperone are more than welcome! Indicate below if you are interested.
All youth and young adults are welcome to join us during Sunday Worship for Donuts, Discipleship, and Dialogue. We will enjoy donuts and have a youth oriented discussion and/or activity related to the sermon’s topic for the week.
Join us for pizza and our weekly exploration of how we can use our unique gifts to glorify God and benefit our community. Gifts in Action is all about finding fun, exciting ways for youth and young adults to identify and utilize their gifts within the church and beyond. These nights are full of fun, laughter, and community. All are welcome!
If you are interested in attending a Young Adult event, please email youngadults@dearbornfirstumc.org to reserve your spot!
From 6-8PM at the Corner in Ferndale. All 18-20 somethings are welcome! We will have a carpool option where you can meet us at the church at 5:15PM to carpool there. If you love boardgames and want to have a fun time, please join us!
Volunteer!
Policy requires that two safe adults are present at every youth activity and we always need volunteers! Please consider giving of your time and join us for a Sunday morning, Wednesday night, or other activities/events as they arise.

We invite you to follow our Instagram and connect via Discord, as well!
Our Discord Server is for youth, volunteers, and parents. This is a dedicated chat platform just for our youth ministry where we can share announcements, reflections and conversations together online.
I am a 5th grade science and social studies teacher in Livonia during the week. I began my journey in youth ministry back in 2016 as a summer camp counselor. I am passionate about justice and equity in the world and have always been an advocate that ALL people are created in the image of God. I am excited to have the opportunity to equip the next generation of the church with the tools they will need to bring God's kingdom to life in our community.
