Hello and welcome to 8th grade Algebra! This year you will be taking Algebra 1, how exciting! This means throughout the year I will be teaching you a high school algebra 1 curriculum while filling in the 8th grade math gaps to assure understanding. This will be done by using Khan Academy for the 8th grade standards. You will be taking the NJ-SLA Algebra 1 test. I am excited to implement aspects of a "Thinking Classroom" which involves a lot of group work and collaboration, with my guidance.
I am so excited for this year with you!
