Holiday Resources 2021

Portland Toy & Joy Makers is a local toy drive founded by the Portland Fire & Rescue in 1914, helping out local families in need around Christmas time. We are completely run by volunteers.

WE WILL START ACCEPTING FAMILY TOY REQUESTS ON NOVEMBER 8. Families must live within the Portland city limits. Apply by phone at 503-231-8697 or by filling our online form [click here].

Families with kids ages 0-12 years are encouraged to contact their local Salvation Army to sign up for assistance this Christmas.

Our program service areas are divided up based on zip codes of residents so please contact the location closest to you to determine how you can receive assistance.

Items you may need in order to apply:

  • Picture ID for head of household/main applicant

  • Proof of Residency and Proof of Income

  • All children 0-12 must have documentation of their birth date.

*Please note that we start signing people up for assistance the first week of November 2020. Assistance is limited and some spots are all filled. It is our goal to bring joy and relief to as many people as possible this Christmas and all year long. But our resources are limited and we have to work within our capacity to serve. Contact us to find out more and we'll do our best to help you this Christmas.
