Over 20 school days, 9th Grade Counts students will attend an introductory high school experience. Students will rotate through classes with core instruction and work to familiarize themselves with the high school campus, staff, and peers. Certified DDHS instructors will build the academic foundation needed to bridge the transition from middle to high school, emphasizing skills to better prepare students for our core content areas: English, Health, Math and Science. Students will work on projects similar to what they will see in high school, as a means of previewing many of our CTE pathways and academic rigor for future success. At the end of the program, the goal is for students to feel confident and possess the necessary tools to make their 9th grade year a success.

Credit Recovery is an opportunity for students to regain credits, strengthen skills, and get back on track toward graduation. The program is designed to support students in a flexible, encouraging environment where they can complete unearned course credits, improve academic confidence, and prepare for a successful next school year.
Staying on track with credits greatly increases the likelihood of graduating on time. Credit Recovery gives students the chance to turn setbacks into progress by providing targeted support, caring staff, and structured time to focus on academic success.
