WHITBY JR. WOLVES U22 ELITE 24-25 SEASON
WHITBY JR. WOLVES U22 ELITE 24-25 SEASON
Summary: I'm a 5' 11" hybrid athletic goalie who is a fierce and relentless competitor, who excels in the classrom (honor role all of high school) and in the gym. I'm a great team mate, supportive goalie partner, consistent performer who is reliable and steady. I'm looking for a demanding and hyper competitive college/university program to commit to.
Background:
I learned to skate at 2 years old. I've always been at home on the ice. I was lucky to have great coaches who also helped my skating, Ashley Jones, Josh Tataryn, and Gery Othmann. I played in the Whitby boys hockey program for 2 years of Tyke. I then moved over to the Whitby Wolves girl's organization to play my first year of Tyke and the Development Stream as a double minor. I played centre and I was the leading scorer that year.
I decided I wanted to be a goalie that year in December. My dad won Super Bowl squares in February 2014, and I got my first set of used McKenney pads with his winnings. We got them at Crowes and he figured I would hate it and we could send them back. I loved it and for the rest of that season I started playing goal and training hard so I could make a rep team at April tryouts.
I started training with Rob Heholt at McGuire A LOT to make sure I could earn a spot. I got selected to the highest Novice team as a goalie in April.
To stay active and try something different in the hockey off season, I joined Lady Blue Knights Field Lacrosse organization and made the U11 Elite rep program as a double minor.
Ever since, I've made the Elite program in both hockey and lacrosse every year at both minor and major years.
I was granted exceptional player status by the Whitby Wolves and joined the U18 AA team as a double minor in 2021-2022. I backstopped the team to #2 overall finish in the province at Provincial Weekend and lost to the Esso Cup champion Durham West Lightning 3-1 after being outshot 55-5.
In high school for the Brooklin Bears I made the varsity hockey and lacrosse teams in Grade 9 and won LOSSA for hockey (COVID stopped at LOSSA) and OFSAA for lacrosse earning the MVP in the final.
I was fortunate enough to find Mandy Cronin at M-Power Hockey as a goalie coach in Grade 9 to take my game to the next level. The experience has been amazing and I'm training 2-4 times a month consistently to earn a starting spot at a US D1 program.
As a goalie my strengths are competitiveness, skating, mobility, height and being athletic. I like to wear smaller lightweight equipment so I can move and react fast. I'm currently in Bauer Hyperlite Pro Sr's (After McKenney and Brian's) and love them.
I signed to U22 Whitby Jr's in October 2022 for the 2023-2024 season. I backstopped my varsity High School team to state (OFSAA) in March 2023 where we won gold!
When I'm not on the ice or playing field lacrosse, I'm at my family's cottage on Kawagama Lake. My brother Campbell is on scholarship to McPherson College in Kansas as a right-handed pitcher.
