At Power Players our goal is to make fitness fun! We want children of all ages and abilities to play games, to laugh and to burn off energy. There are lots of sport specific programs out there that can teach your child a specific set of skills. However, at Power Players our focus is more about being active. We want children to be actively engaged in games that focus on having fun, social development, and overall health and well-being.
Coach Brent Walker LOVES Power Players. After a thoughtful conversation with Coach Dan many years ago about the importance of our children being engaged in exercise and fitness, without playing a specific sport, he created the Power Players program. Entering it's third year he is so happy with the fun and growth of the program. With 3 kids of his own who attend Norman G. Powers Public School, where he teaches Physical Education, he loves being in the gym. Watching the kids work together, get sweaty and have a great time is the best. Let's keep the Power Players party going!
Coach Dan McMullen has been teaching physical education for over 20 years at Middlefield Collegiate in Markham, Ontario. He has lived in Brooklin for the past 18 years, and three of his children attend Chris Hadfield Public School. Coach Dan is a huge believer in the Power Players program and has been a major contributor to its overall programming. The foundation of Power Players focuses on cooperative play, fun fitness games, and getting kids moving in a positive, inclusive environment. Coach Dan is so excited to be able to deliver the Power Players program to the Brooklin community.
"My daughter absolutely loves the Power Players program! From the very first day, I was so impressed by how well everything was organized-every session runs smoothly, and it’s clear Coach Walker puts a lot of thought and care into making it a great experience for the kiddos. Not only is it engaging, but my little one has learned so much about teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence, all while having a blast playing organized games and sports. I can’t recommend Power Players enough! It’s a top-notch program and the highlight of my daughter’s week!"

“Our daughter needed a physical outlet but wasn’t a fan of the few teams we tried out. She went to Power Players for ‘Bring a Friend Night’ and was hooked. Fun games, lots of energy burning, and socializing with new friends made it a highlight of the week. Great program!”

“...All the children running, participating and just having pure fun. No pressure. No goal to score. No having to come in first. No worry about not being the best person on the team. Just show up and have fun and make new friends! I can't say enough about this wonderful program that is offered to all children equally! Well done Power Players!”
