Mahler Symphony Deal!

Your First Symphony? Make It Mahler!

Your School Community Council (SCC), in partnership with the Ontario Philharmonic Orchestra, is excited to offer Trailblazer families a special opportunity to experience the magic of live orchestral music for just $10 per ticket!

Join us for Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 at the Regent Theatre in Oshawa!

Choose your performance:

Friday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, November 15 at 3:00 p.m.

72 minutes, with no intermission!

Register and pay (cash only) at the PET main office by November 6 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets can be picked up at the Regent Theatre box office on the day of your performance.

This special opportunity is designed to introduce children and youth to the symphony! Children must be at least 7 years old, and adults must attend with children. Proof of age may be requested.

No symphony experience needed! Just bring your curiosity and enjoy a wonderful musical experience together!

Socktober

Clean, new socks are one of the most requested items by shelters and outreach organizations, helping provide warmth, comfort, hygiene and dignity to people experiencing hardship. Consider adding a new pair of socks for men, women or children to your next shopping trip and help us fill the Socktober donation box! Small donation. Big difference.

Winter Market! Vendors Wanted!

Our winter maker market is coming to Pierre Elliott Trudeau Public School on Saturday, November 21 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and we’re looking for talented vendors to help make the day extra special! Interested in becoming a vendor? We’d love to hear from you! Pizza and Popcorn!

November orders are OPEN! Pizza Days: November 6, 12, 20 & 27. Popcorn Friday: Friday, October 6 — freshly popped and ready to enjoy! Place your orders through School Cash Online. Every delicious slice and crunchy bag helps our SCC fund the clubs, activities, experiences and exciting opportunities that make PET such a great place to be! Fill your belly. Fuel our school.

Library Clubs for the Month of October (Grade 5's will have Maker Space in November, Grade 1's will have Welcome Club in November)

The purpose of the S.C.C. is to improve student achievement and enhance the accountability of the education system to parents. At Pierre Elliott Trudeau Public School, the S.C.C. aims to connect parents, the school administration and teachers to collaborate on issues of education, school policy and events.

The fundraising efforts of the S.C.C. provide additional resources for the school such as equipment, supplies, school trips and additional experiences beyond operating budgets. Special events such as movie nights, the annual Fun Fest and seasonal markets strengthen the school community.

It is through the S.C.C. that parents have the opportunity to voice concerns, give feedback and volunteer to support these initiatives.

Looking to get involved? Everyone is welcome at our monthly S.C.C. meetings! You don’t need to be a member to attend and participate! There are also plenty of volunteer opportunities throughout the year that are available to our P.E.T. community.
