The Specialist High Skills Major Program is an opportunity for students to have experiences in the field of their pathway choices. At O'Neill we have 4 different SHSM programs that can be explored below. Students will gain hands-on experiences through work experience, certifications and subject related opportunities. The SHSM program is for students in Grade 11 and 12, students in grade 10 are encouraged to get involved in one of these amazing programs.
Attend the SHSM information session (Date TBD)
Choose courses for grade 11 and 12 that fulfill the program requirements - found in the brochures below and also listed in MyBlueprint
Complete the application form for your chosen program found below or in Guidance and return to your Guidance Counsellor
Attend the Co-op or Peer Tutoring information session (Date TBD)
Complete the Co-op or Peer Tutoring application and interview to obtain a placement, 2 credits from these courses are a mandatory requirement of the program for practical experience in your field.
