LBP Distance Learning

Grades 1, 2 & 3

Welcome to the LBP grades 1 to 3 distance learning website. We will be posting weekly activities, worksheets and links to various learning tools.

Please choose from the menu above to access your child's grade.

Please bear with us as we navigate through this new learning curve! Our intent is to make this web page as simple and user-friendly as possible while following Ministry of Education suggestions and guidelines.

Distance learning is not intended to replicate a full school day. Our shared goal is to support you and your children to feel successful with learning tasks that are manageable, relevant and engaging. All enrichment and online resources can be found under "Distance Learning Resources" located under the tab "Further Study".

If you need to contact your child's teacher, please click on the Contact link above.

  • Ensure you are signed into Chrome with DDSB login, not just signed into Google. See How to Google Meet video below for clarification.

  • Proceed to Google Meet (in Google waffle) or click Google Meet link provided by teacher.

  • Select + Join Meeting

  • Enter Google Meet Code provided by teacher.

  • Wait until time meeting was scheduled to begin and select Join Now.

Google Meet Conferencing Tips

If you are invited to a Google Meet Conference by your teacher here are some things to ready and consider before the meeting begins.

  • Find a quiet private location to take part in your home, away from family members and other background distractions as much as possible.

  • Be conscious of what will display in your background.

  • If possible use headphones or ear buds during the meeting.

  • Just like a classroom, be respectful to one another, we will attempt to speak one at a time. This means, be prepared to raise a hand to ask a question or make a comment.

  • Keep you mic muted unless you're called on by the teacher to ask your question or comment or if you have something to say.

  • Teachers can only host a meeting with more than one student. To ensure this happens, the teacher may need to end the meeting before it's schedule end time or delay the start time until more than one student is waiting to begin.

  • Taking screen shots or recording the meeting is strictly prohibited.
