Frequently asked questions

When is the library open? We are open at 9:05 AM every day (with some exceptions), at lunch and after school until 3:47PM. The library space is for quiet study and no food or drink (except water) is allowed.

Can I come to the library during my spare? Yes, absolutely! Students on spare should sign in each day and check the board to see which space(s) are available. You need to sign a contract to use the space (one time)

How do I sign out books? You will need your student card (preferred) or your student number.

What do I do if I lose my student card? Let the main office know and they'll request a new one for you.

How many books can I sign out at once? 3

How long can I have the books?  3 weeks

What if I need the book longer than thee weeks?  Come to the library to RENEW the book. You don't need the book or your card to renew. Just come to the check-out desk and let us know that you need to renew material.

How do I renew my book? Come see us at the circulation desk preferably with you books.

What happens if my book is late?  As of right now there is no fine for late books, but there is a replacement cost for lost books. REMEMBER - there are other students who want/need your book, so it is important that you return it. 

Can I print in the library? We have a student printing station (desktop and printer) set up in the library. Students will need to log in to the desktop computer with their student account in order to print. Please note that wireless printing from a Chromebook or phone is not available.

When can I print? It is preferred that students come to use the printer before school, at lunch or after school. Students who are sent from class should have a hall pass and a note from their teacher.

Do you have any Chromebooks or Chromebook chargers that I can borrow? We do not have any Chromebooks but we do have a Chromebook charging station. Leave your Chromebook with us and we will charge it for you!

Can I access the online encyclopedias and databases from home? Yes, but you'll need usernames and passwords. They are in the grade google classroom and your teacher's digital platform.

Where can I get more note-taking sheets? All of our note-taking sheets are on the wall next to the library classroom door.

Do you take book suggestions? Absolutely! Fill out a request by the checkout desk. We will do our best to fulfill any requests.
