What is White Pine?

Every year, 10 new Canadian fiction books are selected as part of our White Pine reading program. Thousands of teens across the province read these books at the same time.

When will the White Pine books be available at Donald A. Wilson?

This year's White Pine book titles will be announced later this fall. Books will be available through the Sora app. Students will be able to sign out the books for a two week loan period.

When does Battle of the Books begin?

Preparation for the Battle of the Books typically begins at the beginning of December with the competition held in the spring.

What do I do when I finish a book?

Let one of your teacher librarians know when you have finished a book. If you read at least 5 White Pine books, you get to vote for your favourite.
