PLANNING, HOUSING AND DENSITY
There is a considerable amount of research worldwide on how to best plan for growing populations in a sustainable manner. In Ireland, there has not been the same investment in research as in many other countries.
The Universities have been involved in some research, but much more is needed. Research has tended to come from industry bodies and sectors that have an interest in the property market. Some professional bodies have also engaged in research. The most detailed data for research comes from the Central Statistics Office.
The links that we have included are a selection of works from various Irish and international sources. We will review these links over time.
