About me

Hello D.C. West Falcon families! My name is Rhonda Jonas and I am a  3rd grade teacher in the elementary. This is my thirty-third year in education. I've had the pleasure of teaching at Valley/DC West for twenty-nine years. I've taught students in  Kindergarten, First, Second and Third Grades.  I truly enjoy working with younger students because they are so eager to learn and grow. I'm looking forward  to a wonderful year with the kiddos! I graduated  with my bachelors in Elem. Edu. K-8, as well as earning my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Wayne State College.

I love spending time with my family. My husband and I are thrilled for our first grandchild to arrive this coming January! Above, pictured is our daughter Hanna, son John, and our daughter-in-law Emma at their wedding in June 2024.

Hello! My name is Crystal Peterson.  This will be my 26th year teaching.  I have taught Kindergarten, 4th Grade, and 3rd Grade.  This is my 20th year of 3rd Grade.

I graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education from UNO and my Masters in Currriculum and Instruction from Wayne State.

I love what I do!  I enjoy the light bulb moments, the cheers, the sweet smiles, and the laughter of my studens.

Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Riley Toelle, and this is my sixth year teaching 3rd grade, and I absolutely love it! I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education K-8 from Wayne State College. I completed my master's degree from York University last summer in Social Emotional Leadership. I love baking, traveling, and spending time outside! This year will be filled with a lot of fun, learning, and new adventures. I am looking forward to an exciting year!
