Class overview

This year we will be working through the Inspire Science, Grade 7 Curriculum. We will learn about many different topics this year!

Modules that we will spend time on include:

Quarter 1:

Classification and States of Matter
Matter: Properties and Changes

Quarter 2:

Dynamic Earth

Quarter 3:

Natural Hazards
Distribution of Earth's Resources

Quarter 4:

Matter and Energy in Ecosystems
Dynamic Ecosystems
Biodiversity in Ecosystems

Modules will be taught using a mix of hands on learning, educational videos and online simulations, and direct instructions.

About me

This is my 9th year teaching science. I spent the last 8 at Westside High School teaching biology. This is my first year teaching 7th grade and I’m very excited. My wife, Natalie, and I love to cook, walk our dogs (Finn and Nali), and spend time with our family.
