About me

I am so excited to work with you and your child this year!  This will be my 26th year working in DC West school district, but it will be my 3rd year as a preschool teacher.  For the previous 23 years, I have been the preschool & middle school speech language pathologist, but my passion has always been preschool.

My husband, Sam and I have 3 sons and 2 dogs (Gus & Finn).  Our oldest son, Jacob lives in Sioux Falls, SD during his residency.  Our son Logan, lives in Chicago and our youngest son, Aidan is a senior at UNL.  Our family enjoys spending time together playing board games and traveling.  In my free time, I love hiking, biking, and Kayaking.

About me

I couldn’t be more excited to be your child’s teacher! I have served as a substitute teacher at DC West and because of the positive connections with students, families, and the amazing staff I decided that it was time to return to the classroom 2 years ago.

I have been a teacher, elementary principal, middle school principal, and District Administrator and am fulfilling my dream to return to teaching little ones as a member of the awesome DC West Preschool staff! 

Outside the classroom, I love spending time with my family. My husband, Jed, is also an educator as are 3 of our 4 adult children - one  was a Navy Pilot and now flies for FedEx. We are the proud grandparents of 5, who we LOVE being with whenever possible! I am also looking forward to being here where my daughter, Alyssa Lindahl, also teaches and my grandson, Quentin, is in fifth grade. I truly look forward to partnering with you and loving on your little one this year!

About me

This is my 12th year teaching preschool at DC West. I absolutely love every second and appreciate the opportunity to build relationships with the faculty, parents, students and the community. I live in Yutan with my husband of 12 years. We have 2 amazing children. Cameron is 11 and Avery is 7. They both attend school at DC West. We also have a Beagle- Charlie. We love to spend time outside together: camping, fishing, hiking and swimming. We also spend most of our time watching the kids sports & activities.
