As part of our continued commitment to student safety, we are implementing enhanced security measures for ALL visitors including parents. Effective immediately, we kindly ask that all visitors follow the updated procedures below:
Notify the Office in Advance
Please contact the front office by phone (402-359-2151) or email (ltravis@dcwest.org) the day before or the morning of the visit to let us know you or an approved family guest are coming. This allows us to prepare and ensures a smooth check-in process.
Definition of Approved Family Guest
Any approved family guest is an individual who is found and attached to the child within PowerSchool.
Visitor Identification
If a visitor has not been approved by the family, they will be required to present a valid driver’s license when they arrive. We will then check PowerSchool to see if they are an approved guest. If not an approved guest arrives, parents will then be contacted for permission. This step helps us verify identities and maintain a secure environment for all students.
Arrival Time
Due to the additional processes, please plan to arrive with 5 minutes to spare to allow ample time for check-in and to avoid delays. This ensures you can enjoy every moment with the child.
