Reading: We are beginning a new novel study. As we read, students will practice writing clear and concise summaries for each chapter to strengthen their comprehension skills. We will also focus on expanding our vocabulary by identifying and learning new words from the text. In addition, students will explore characterization, examining how characters’ actions, thoughts, and dialogue reveal their personalities and roles in the story.
Writing: We will continue practicing how to write well-structured paragraphs. By using a variety of sentence types, students will make their writing clearer, stronger, and more polished.
Science: Our first science unit will focus on matter. Students will participate in a variety of hands-on experiments designed to deepen their understanding of these concepts and make learning both engaging and meaningful.
Social Studies: We are learning about the Native American tribes of the United States.
