Choral Conducting Masterclasses
For conductors wishing to develop their technique, musicianship, interpretation
Advanced Masterclasses (8 places max)
Intermediate Masterclasses (10 places max)
Foundation Workshop (12 places)
Conductors will conduct their peers, a pianist, and New Dublin Voices in closing concert

Choral Composition Masterclass
For composers who wish to develop their artistic practice in original composition for choir (8 places max)
Online group workshop with tutor in May 2026 to prepare for course
Suitable for those with some experience in choral composition and facility in notation software
Composition Lab in which selected pieces are workshopped with New Dublin Voices assistant conductor, Brian Dungan, a pianist, and singers from New Dublin Voices
Selected pieces are performed in closing concert

The course directors will assess applications, and applicants will be contacted within a week of receipt of application.
You will receive a payment link with your email of acceptance.
A deposit of €100 is due by February 1 2026. The full fee is due by April 1 2026.
FOUNDATION
For those with some qualification or background in music who may have elementary conducting experience
For establishing and consolidating the fundamentals of conducting technique
Material will range from rounds to simple 4-part songs
INTERMEDIATE
For conductors with good musicianship skills and experience working with choirs and/or who have had previous tuition in conducting
Increased attention to style, interpretation and rehearsal technique
Participants need to familiarise themselves with the set pieces before the course
ADVANCED
For conductors with considerable experience, excellent musicianship skills, good vocal technique and rehearsal technique, who have already studied conducting to a high level
Participants are expected to be fully familiar with all set pieces
