Email is by far the best way to communicate with teachers. Regularly checking your email for communication from teachers or the school is the key to good communication throughout the year! The "TEACHERS" and "CONTACT INFORMATION" sections both have links directly to our emails.
7:00 a.m. is the earliest students can be dropped off at school. Upon arrival, students go to the gym or the cafeteria every day, depending on whether or not they want breakfast. Around 7:45, students will be released to go to 1st period.
Students will not use lockers at BMS. As many other schools throughout the country found out during the pandemic, lockers are not a necessity today like they were in years past. Students are no longer issued textbooks, which alleviates the primary need for lockers. Ending access to lockers has had a positive impact on school safety, order, and discipline. Students are asked to carry two binders and a Chromebook in 6th grade. Any athletes or members of the school band who need to store their equipment somewhere, will be directed by staff where to place their belongings during the school day.

*Students may possess a cell phone. However, at no time shall the school assume responsibility for its use and care or be responsible for preventing theft, loss, or damage to phones brought on school property.
*Cell Phones must be “OFF” AND “PUT AWAY” BEFORE ENTERING THE BUILDING. “Put away” is defined as being placed in a backpack or purse. Phones are not to be turned on following the morning bell and cannot be turned on until following afternoon announcements. Turning a phone to “silent” “vibrate” or “do not disturb” does not comply with this policy.
*All electronic devices, including tablets, laser pointers, and the inappropriate use of smart watches, will be treated as a cell phone infraction.
*Text messaging is not permitted during school hours, unless directed by staff, and will be treated as a cell phone infraction.
The cell phone policy found above is mandated at the district level, and can be found by clicking HERE to view the student handbook.

If Dr. Carroll had known the results, he would have let the mosquito bite him because he wanted to help test the theory for the greater good. In the text, Excerpts from: The Secret of the Yellow Death, Jurmain states, "Then, finally, Carroll took the tube out of Lazear’s hand. He held it against his own arm and sat there patiently until, at last, the insect landed, bit, and drank its fill." ("I Have No Such Thing” 14). The evidence shows that Dr. Carroll was eager to help the study to find out the results. Dr. Carroll did not care if he contracted yellow fever, only if the theory was tested.

No. It isn't a requirement for teachers to use Remind, therefore any teacher who uses it will provide parents and students with the information that they need to join. Additionally, the "TEACHERS" section of this website contains links to join those teachers who use the app.
