Circulation

Students can check out up to 3 books at a time.  There are no late fees, but we will not allow students to check out books if they have overdue materials.  

We have made it easier for students to get books.  We were the first middle school in the county to get rid of late fees.  We also were the first to up checkouts to 3 books at a time.  We also have a cart of free books in the MC at all times so every student can walk away with a book.  Also, upon request, we will give any teacher a collection of books to keep in their rooms.  We will not ask for them back.

Total Circulations in the first semester of this school year: 20,630.  Circulations had increased by 70% since Mr. Lynn took over as Library Media Specialist.(Click HERE for a detailed report from the year before Mr. Lynn became the LMS) but took a hit this year due to COVID restrictions.

Our most popular series are Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Big Nate, Baby Sitters Club, and Demon Slayer  books.  

Our most popular chapter books are Swing it Sunny,  Hatchet, Save Rafe!, The Fort, and Masters of Mischielf.

92% of materials are checked out by students.  The other 8% of check outs are from staff and parents. 30% of books checked out are Fiction Books, 50% are graphic novels/manga, 10% are non-fiction, and 10% are equipment.
