The Douglas County School System invites parents to help their rising fifth grade students prepare with these fun resources. Students are encouraged to practice reading, writing, and math each day AND to choose at least one other subject to practice. Many of the activities are short. They will ALL help prepare your child. Record what you do each day on a calendar or list them on a log like THIS ONE, and save it to show your child's fifth grade teacher what he/she worked on all summer. Stay well, and HAPPY LEARNING!

The Georgia Department of Education Content Integration Specialists have developed integrated choice board mini tasks aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence for English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Each grade level includes integrated low tech or no tech tasks and activities meant to engage students and families in purposeful integration of the content.
