My name is Joyce Aaron, and I am originally from Louisiana. I am a proud wife, mother of four (ages 27, 25, 7, and 4), and grandmother to my first granddaughter, who is 10 months old.
I hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Northwestern State University and have over 14 years of experience in the social work field. My work has focused primarily on teaching children vital skills in social development, coping strategies, life skills, and anger management.
In January 2023, I joined Douglas County Schools as a Substitute Teacher and soon transitioned into a full-time role. I am currently in my third year as a Reading/Writing teacher and recently completed the MRESA Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (TAPP) Program in May 2025.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, reading, and exploring the outdoors.
