My name is Joyce Aaron, and I am originally from Natchitoches, Louisiana. I am a proud wife, mother of four (ages 28, 26, 8, and 5), and grandmother of two granddaughters.

I hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Northwestern State University and have over 14 years of experience in the social work field. My work has focused primarily on teaching children vital skills in social development, coping strategies, life skills, and anger management.

In January 2023, I joined Douglas County Schools as a Substitute Teacher and soon transitioned into a full-time role. I am currently in my fourth year as a Reading/Writing  and Social Studies teacher. I successfully completed the MRESA Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (TAPP) Program in May 2025.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, reading, and exploring the outdoors. 

I am honored to share this school year with each student and thier family. This will be another amazing year and I am looking forward to sharing this year with each of you!
