Grading Guidelines:
All grades taken on assignments, tests, and/or projects will be recorded in the Student Information System’s electronic grade book in Infinite Campus.
1st - 5th Grades:
A = 90-100
B = 80-89
C = 71-79
D = 70
F = Below 70
Art, Music, and Physical Education:
S = Satisfactory
N = Needs Improvement
U = Unsatisfactory
If a student is absent, they can complete any missing graded assignments when they return to class. We can send home missing independent practice assignments. Graded assignments can not be completed at home. Until the work is completed, a 55% will be placed in the grade book which is equivalent to a zero.

Homework Policy:
Homework is assigned Monday-Thursday weekly.
It is checked for a grade. Homework is 15% of the subject's grade.
Homework can be turned in early any day of the week, but late homework is not accepted (unless it is excused with an absence).
Reading: Log 20 minutes on Beanstack nightly.
Writing: Cursive writing + Grammar practice.
Math: Complete each nights fluency questions.
Parent/Guardian Support:
To establish a specific time, place, and manner for homework to be completed.
To monitor as needed, but NOT DO homework for the student.
To assist the student in planning a time schedule for long-term assignments/projects.
To initiate communication with the teacher when concerns arise.
To promote 15-20 minutes of reading each night.
