Operations of Rational Numbers

• Sidewalk Number Line Activity! Draw or create (be creative) a number from -20 to 20 on the sidewalk. Have students place an item (pebble, block, rock, toy, etc.) on two different numbers. Students will write a statement about the numbers using an inequality symbol (< less than or > greater than). Example: -4 is less than 3 (-4 < 3); Example 6 is greater than 0 (6 > 0)

• Create a PowerPoint or pamphlet to display your knowledge of the vocabulary words: variable, terms, coefficient, constant, operations, equation, and inequality. Be sure to include visual representations. Resources

• Solve equations using Puzzles, Twisters, and Teasers. Activity 1 and Activity 2

• Complete the activity by choosing the ODD or EVEN numbered problems to solve! Check your answers! Activity

Ratios and Proportional Relationships

• Write fractions on note cards and ask students to simplify the fractions on the other side of the note card.

After the video, solve real-world problems using the processes from the video. Real World Application

• Watch and take notes from the videos on decimal and percent conversions!! Video 1 and Video 2. 

Construct a “fake” message for social media that explains both processes. Write one post about converting decimals to percentages and another post about converting percentages to decimals.

Geometry

• Sketch the area of polygons by completing the 24 Unit Squares Performance Task.

Inferences

• Create a Foldable, Flipbook, or Graphic Organizer for Central Tendencies.

Probability

• Complete this activity to practice writing ratios 3 different ways. Remember to simplify the fractions.
