Hello families!

My journey in education began as a reading specialist in Nottoway County Public Schools in Virginia, where I had the opportunity to work closely with students to enhance their literacy skills. This role provided me with valuable insights into the diverse learning needs of children, which I found both challenging and rewarding. Following that experience, I transitioned into the role of the music teacher at Crewe Primary School, where I taught music to students in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade. This experience allowed me to combine my love for music with my commitment to nurturing young minds.

I am very excited to be returning to the first grade team for the second year.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music and will complete my Master's in Elementary Education this December! My teaching philosophy is centered on fostering creativity, curiosity, and community among my students. I am a lover of learning, travel, cultures, and creativity. I am optimistic for a fantastic school year and am looking forward to learning and growing with my students!
