"Through this on-site volunteer experience, volunteers like you sort, pack and prepare food for a variety of Regional Food Bank Programs.
Activities may include:
Assembling sacks of nutritious food for the Food for Kids Backpack Program
Packing Commodity Supplemental Food Program boxes full of food for seniors living on fixed incomes
Sorting and packing bread, produce, package meals and/or cans
Tagging bags
Cleaning
Because the Regional Food Bank’s inventory changes daily, the Regional Food Bank cannot guarantee volunteers who sign up to work in the Volunteer Center will pack and prepare food for a specific program."
"RestoreOKC is an asset-based community development organization focused on the restoration of health, education, residences, and employment alongside our neighbors in Northeast OKC. "
"TOPSoccer, which is the acronym for "The Opportunity to Play Soccer", is a program that enables youth with disabilities to experience "The Beautiful Game". The Program is designed to bring learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl who has a mental or physical disability. "
Cards for Kindness is a global initiative that centers around uplifting others and spreading happiness to anyone who could use an emotional boost, cheer, or reminder of how loved they are.
Volunteers from various corners of the globe craft beautiful handmade greeting cards for Cards for Kindness. Teaming up with organizations worldwide, we ensure these heartfelt cards reach those who could use a boost of spirits and a sprinkle of joy.
Our recipients include cancer foundations, retirement homes, children's shelters, and other similar organizations. These cards provide hope and comfort, utilized by nurses, doctors, staff members, counselors, teachers, parents, and volunteers, who adorn them with handwritten messages of encouragement and affection before gifting them to those in need.

"Our teens make a big difference in their community. They volunteer their time on site, they volunteer on the Teen Board to raise funds for the babies and host in-kind drives to provide our babies and toddlers with food, formula and diapers. There is no task too big for these young people."
"Each December, hundreds of volunteers gather in an unmarked, donated warehouse in OKC to read hundreds of letters written to Santa that have been secretly submitted for a surprise delivery. The letters are submitted by third parties—mostly teachers—who know that Santa's visit could really be a boost and possibly the only way for Christmas to happen for these families. Toys are wrapped and tagged "Do not open until Christmas!" and placed in a large bag with many other items, including a Bible, a smoke alarm, calculators, school supplies, blankets, hats and gloves, and a Little Golden Book of The Christmas Story. "
"Storybook Forest is presented by the City of Edmond’s Arcadia Lake and Edmond Electric. It is a safe alternative to traditional trick or treating. There are no ghouls or goblins here. Children walk down a well-lit path in the woods and visit life-size scenes from classic storybooks to collect candy. Families can expect to see recreations inspired by well-loved tales like The Little Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe, The Three Little Pigs, and more!
At the concession area, there are campfires for families to roast hotdogs and s’mores as well as a reading tent where kids can hear stories. There is a carnival game area as well as a hayride for the entire family to enjoy. "
