A Creator's Rights

Learning Objective:

We will understand that copyright is a legal system that protects our rights to creative work, and look at different ways people license their copyrighted work.

Copyright law: it matters

Key Vocabulary:

Copyright:  the exclusive legal right to reproduce, publish, sell, or distribute the matter and form of something (such as a literary, musical, or artistic work).

fair use, creative commons, public domain  &  

license: a clear way to define the copyright of your creative work so people know how it can be used
