Class Information

Allergies - We have a nut allergy in class. Thank you for respecting the health of all of our students.

Behavior (School Expectations) - Our class expectations are to show PRIDE in all that we do: Perseverance, Respect and Responsibility, Integrity, Dedication, and Empathy. This promotes an environment where teaching and learning can occur. I focus on positive specific behavior and recognize individuals with Class Dojo points, Positive Paws, and other motivators as created by the class throughout the year.

Celebrations - WME plans time for a Halloween, Winter, and Valentine class parties.

Chromebooks - Students will work on their own Chromebooks in class using Google Suite

Conferences - Parent and teacher conferences are an important part of your child's success this year. The conference dates this year are September 21, 23, and March 8, 10. You'll receive a sign-up link closer to the dates.

Field Trips - TBA

Friday Folder - Please check your child's Friday Folder for important information.

Homework - Daily expectation: 20-30 mins. of reading each night, regular practice of math facts, and any unfinished work from class. More occasional homework might include studying for a spelling test or periodic math skill practice assignments.

Library - We visit Mrs. Buckland in the school library every Monday. Students are allowed to check-out up to five books for 2 weeks at a time. Books must be returned or renewed every week.

Lost and Found - WME has a lost and found area at the front of the school. Please check there if your child is missing anything brought to school.

Lunch - We have lunch at 12:40-1:20. See the cafeteria menu for more info.

Parties - WME plans time for a Halloween, Winter, and Valentine class parties.

Photos - Please do not post any class photos that show children other than your own on social media.

Recess - We will have recess everyday. Taking away recess is not a consequence. During inclement weather, we will have indoor recess in the classroom.

Snack - We have a late lunch, so please send a healthy snack with your child each day.

Volunteers - I have volunteer opportunities available for help with party planning, Friday folders, and of course our Room Mom/PTO Liaison and Class Photographer. Sign-up is available at Back to School Night or through email requests.

Water - Water bottles are allowed in class, and are super important since we are in the mobile. Please help students remember to bring a clean, full water bottle to school every morning.

Wonders - WME's reading resource. Students can access books, games, and resources online to support classroom learning.
