Scholarship Overview

• Total Scholarships: 12

• Amount: $2,000 per scholarship

• Eligibility: High school seniors graduating in Spring 2027

• Use of Funds: May be applied toward tuition, fees, books, or other educational expenses at any accredited postsecondary institution

This scholarship is designed for students who:

• Have made a sustained commitment to community service or volunteer work

• Demonstrate leadership, empathy, and initiative

• Have positively impacted their school, neighborhood, or broader community

• Can clearly articulate the significance of their service and what they’ve learned from it

Scholarship Overview

• Amount: $25,000 awarded to each participant

• Eligibility: 

  • Must currently reside in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada

  • Must be 18 years of age by July 15, 2027

  • Must be a current high school senior, college/university undergraduate, or graduate student

• Use of Funds: May be applied toward all education-related expenses. The selected recipients will also have the opportunity to participate in a one-year leadership development program facilitated by Chick-fil-A, Inc. 

Who Should Apply?

 This scholarship is designed for students who:

• Are planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study for the 2027-2028 academic year at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, or vocational-technical school or CEGEP institution

• Are involved in community service, extracurricular activities and/or a leadership role in the twelve (12) months prior to application deadline (for example, volunteering for non-profits, helping others less fortunate, tutoring/mentoring, etc.)

• Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent)

• Are willing to participate in the Chick-fil-A Scholars Program (a one-year engagement that includes mentoring and leadership development alongside our $25k Remarkable Futures Scholars), if selected.

Partner Schools and Programs:

 If you attend a partner school or are enrolled in a partner program, the Daniels Fund and the institution combine funding to cover up to your full cost of attendance (COA). This includes tuition, fees, housing, books, and more. 

Non-Partner Schools and Programs: 

• If you attend a non-partner school outside Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming, you will receive up to $25,000 per year. 

• If you attend a non-partner school within Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming, you will receive up to $7,500 per year.

Applications for this Scholarship close on November 1 of your Senior Year.

Scholarship Requirements:

• Be a graduating Colorado high school senior who has lived in Colorado for your full junior and senior years of high school OR be a registered member of a federally recognized American Indian Tribe/Nation with historical ties to Colorado

• Apply during the fall of what is your final year of high school (the equivalent of your senior year), even if you are graduating early or considering taking a gap year after graduation;

• Graduate from a Colorado high school

AND one of the following:

• Be a citizen, legal permanent resident, or lawfully present (including through Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) in the United States.

• Meet the requirements and have applied or started the process of applying for citizenship, legal status or lawful presence. (Although students can be in the application process for citizenship, legal status, or lawful presence during the Boettcher selection timeframe, in order to become a Boettcher Scholar, you must provide documentation that shows you have successfully completed the process.) Two Different Scholarship Models:

• Cost of Attendance Model: Scholars receive an annual fixed amount of $20,000 per year from Boettcher for four years.

• Tuition & Fees Model: Scholars receive an annual fixed amount of $20,000 per year from Boettcher for four years.
