This is Back to School Night slideshow for those who missed it or for anyone who wanted to take their time looking at the slides.
Some students have never written an email, and this is a quick tutorial on how to write an email to a teacher.
Write a clear subject line.
This is what the email is about, this is NOT the actual email.
Example: Makeup form question
Address your teacher formally.
Example: Dear Mrs. Weller, (and then press return two times)
Your message, question, or request.
Understand that this is a way to communicate with an adult. Make sure you are not demanding that a teacher grade your work or change a grade. Instead, ask a question or ask to meet with your teacher.
Example: I have a question about some of the work assigned in class when I was absent. Would it be easier for you to explain it to me if I came to Access?
Use proper conventions. Spelling, punctuation, and capital letters should be used in emails. If you are unsure, use Grammarly or ask someone to check it before hitting send.
End your email properly. Hit return and then write your name
Examples:

Thanks,
Sincerely,
Best,
