My name is Brittni Melius and I have been the SSN teacher at Arrowwood Elementary since 2016. I attended college at the University of South Dakota where I graduated with Degrees in Elementary Education, Special Education, and a Minor in Spanish. After college, I spent a year as an English Teaching Assistant in Valencia, Spain.  

Previously, I was a 4th grade teacher for two years at Arrowwood. Before I moved to Colorado, I taught two years of 4th grade in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

In the future I would like to pursue an additional license in Early Childhood Special Education as well as a Master's Degree in Special Education. 

I moved to Denver in the summer of 2014. My son Henry is 7 and will turn 8 in December  and my daughter Hattie is 5 and just recently started Kindergarten. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, watching movies, reading, snowboarding, hiking, and being outdoors. 

I'm so grateful to work at Arrowwood with an amazing team, wonderful students, and supportive community!
