Welcome to Speech & Language!

Hi! My name is Meggan Dahlgren and I am thrilled to start my third year at Cougar Run and my 12th year in DCSD.

My experience with speech and language began as a student who needed to work on my sounds. My passion for speech and language began when one of my own children received early intervention services. Inspired by that experience, I went back to school and earned my master’s degree from CU-Boulder. Having been a student, a parent, and an educator in this field, I truly understand and care about every angle of the speech and language journey.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors and getting lost in a creative story. Your child might notice my love of books extending to my earrings!

Originally from Chicagoland, my family and I are still in awe of the Rocky Mountains after 15 years in Colorado! I have twin daughters who are currently navigating exciting new paths as young adults. Our family has two mountain-loving dogs, Gemi and LuLu, who are named after a lift and a run at Winter Park/May Jane.

I love Star Wars as much today as I did when I was in elementary school. I enjoy board games, reading great books while sipping on hot coffee/tea, hiking, and movie nights with popcorn (our dogs especially love the popcorn).
