Mrs. Snider's 5th Grade Class

Snider 20-21

My name is Amy Snider and I am thrilled to be teaching 5th grade again at Eagle Ridge Elementary! This is my 12th year of teaching and my fifth year teaching 5th grade at ERE.

I am proud to say I am a Colorado native (although I did live in San Diego for some time).  I graduated from Ponderosa High School in Parker and graduated with my  BA from UNC in Greeley.  I took a few years off to be a mom and then went back to school and I received my master’s degree in 2013.

My husband, Bret, and I live in Highlands Ranch with our three kiddos.  Bret is a sports fanatic and besides his "real" full-time job, he is the director of a youth baseball organization, coaches our boy's traveling teams, and is also the assistant varsity baseball coach at Rock Canyon High School.  Our oldest is 21 and she works and lives in Loveland.  Our middle kiddo is 19 and attends Grand Canyon University in Arizona. And our youngest is 15 and he will be a sophomore at Highlands Ranch High School.  My boys play year-round baseball so we are constantly playing in tournaments all over the state of Colorado. When we find the time we love to watch the Broncos, CU football, Denver Nuggets and I am a die-hard Rockies fan!

I am extremely eager to be kicking off a great year teaching your child.  I hope to inspire my students to follow their dreams and passions. When my students leave me each year, I hope that, along with academic growth, they have become more reflective people who understand the difference they can make in their communities.
