I am over the moon to be teaching this year! Helping students believe in themselves, encouraging them to do their best work, and creating a safe space for them to be who they want is a true honor and my life purpose! I cant wait to get to know you all this year :)

My name is Carson Mack and I am so excited to be teaching this year! I am a proud Colorado native, born and raised in Centennial. This will be my first year teaching at Sierra Middle School, and I am so excited to be on team Summit!  I spent 3 years as a moderate to severe paraprofessional and absolutely loved it. I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I am excited to use my background in human development to provide a holistic approach to my teaching!

I also love to be outside! Usually you can catch me paddle-boarding, hiking, skiing, swimming, running or line dancing! I am also an avid reader and love to get new book recommendations. 

I can't wait to learn, grow and celebrate with your kids this year!

Students can look forward to making DNA out of candy, creating "social media profiles" for planets, building roller coasters, becoming meteorolgists of the future, and everyone's favorite, making ice cream! 

I love science because it allows learning to be hands on and is always changing around us, meaning there are lots of real world connections we get to make in class. 

This year in science we will be exploring 4 units: 

Unit 1: Weather and Climate

Unit 2: Genetics and Selection

Unit 3: Energy Transfer & Sound/Light Waves

Unit 4: Space!
