Our music classroom is inspired by the philosophies and teachings of Hungarian composer and educator Zoltan Kodály. First and foremost, we use the one instrument we can take with us everywhere - our singing voice! We sing mainly folk songs throughout each year, many of which have activities and singing games to go along with them. Each folk song is chosen based on age appropriateness and musical content (rhythm, melody, form, meter, tempo, etc.). If you are interested in learning more please ask me!
