About the Program
Our Counseling Mission: The Mountain View Elementary School school counseling program provides all students access to comprehensive programming implemented through data informed interventions including classroom lessons, psychoeducational small groups, and individual, solutions-focused consultations. Culturally responsive solutions are considered through delivery to ensure equity, access, and success for all students as they grow into the foundations of their academic, post-secondary, and social-emotional skills within a positive learning environment. Through collaboration, tiered response, and open communication, the Mountain View school counselor advocates for the growth and development of each student as they strive to reach their highest potential.
Our Counseling Vision: All students who enter Mountain View are equipped with the skills necessary to show kindness, tolerance, and empathy to the diversity of every person. Their empathy and compassion allow them to collaborate and communicate with people of all backgrounds. The ambition of a Mountain View Cub guides steadfast creativity and critical thinking in new opportunities encountered in their post-primary future and lifelong learning endeavors. Mountain View Cubs lead by example and will create their own successes within the post-secondary paths that they pursue.
