Meet Mrs.Sexton

Welcome to third grade! I am excited to be your teacher this year! This will be my 17th year teaching 3rd grade at Heritage. I think 3rd graders are awesome and the perfect grade to teach!

Below are some fun facts about me! One of my favorite parts of teaching is building relationships with my students and families and getting to know all about each student in my class! 

Fun Facts about Mrs. Sexton

I grew up in Northern California (about 40 minutes east of San Francisco).

I went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for college. It’s about 10 minutes from the beach and absolutely beautiful!

Our daughter, Katie, graduated from CU and  has followed in my footsteps and is also a teacher. She is a Kindergarten teacher at a school in Denver.  Our  son,  Matt also  graduated from CU.  He works as a front end software engineer. We are very fortunate that both kids are close by!

My husband, Jeff  and I just celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary!!

I am afraid of mice and rats!!

I love holidays!

I enjoy cooking and baking.

We have two spoiled cats and 1 spoiled dog!
