I grew up in Northern California (about 40 minutes east of San Francisco).

I went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for college. It’s about 10 minutes from the beach and absolutely beautiful!

Our daughter, Katie, graduated from CU and has followed in my footsteps and is also a teacher. She is a Kindergarten teacher at a school in Denver. Our son, Matt also graduated from CU. We are very fortunate that both kids are close by!
