Mr. Orlowski's Fourth Grade

My desire to become an educator began years ago while observing and working in a classroom led by an educator with more than thirty years of experience—my mom. Inspired by her passion for teaching, I pursued my studies in the School of Education at the University of Northern Colorado and graduated in May 1998 with a degree in Social Sciences, with an emphasis in Elementary Education.

This is my 28th year of teaching and my 26th year in the Douglas County School District. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach students in grades 4–6 at several schools across the district. The majority of my teaching journey has been spent at Heritage Elementary (24 years), where I have built lasting relationships with students, families, and colleagues while serving a community that has continually grown and evolved over the years.

This year brings an exciting new chapter as I join Mountain Peak Elementary during its opening year. I am honored to be part of establishing traditions, building a strong school culture, and helping create a welcoming community where students can learn, grow, and thrive for years to come.

I live in Parker with my wife and our dog. I am an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys fishing, camping, four-wheeling in my modified Jeep Wrangler, hiking, and nature photography. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons. Around home, I enjoy going to or renting movies, cooking, working out, riding horses, trying a variety of restaurants, playing Super Scrabble, reading a good book, and taking my dog to the park.

Most importantly, I cherish time spent with my wife, family, and friends. I also treasure the opportunity to learn alongside children and help them discover their strengths and passions. After all these years, I still cannot imagine a career more rewarding than being an educator.
