Plants/Produce
The RHMS garden is 3000 square feet and has many different plants and produce. All of the crops are grown on 8-foot by 4-foot cedar raised beds/boxes, sunken pots, or in whiskey barrels. We also have some apple trees, a cherry bush and grapes growing along the fence that encloses the garden!

Box 1 & 2 (Cool Weather Boxes):
- Leafy Greens - Spinach, lettuce, carrots, and radishes
- In summer months we grow herbs - basil, dill, lavender and parsley
Box 3 & 4:
- Peppers - Sweet peppers, Poblano peppers, Serrano peppers, and Anaheim peppers
- Jalapenos
Box 5, 6 & 7:
- Tomatoes - Cherry tomatoes, Sun-gold tomatoes, Brandywine tomatoes , Early Girl tomatoes, Beefsteak tomatoes, and Black Zebra tomatoes.
- Basil is grown along with tomatoes to be a natural insect repellent.
Box 9 &10 (Has chicken wire around it):
- Climbing Plants - Green Beans, Snap Peas, Cucumbers
There are also carrots and radishes
Sunken Pots:
- Butternut Squash
- Yellow Squash
- Zucchini
- Mint
Whiskey Barrels:
- Chives
- Flowers to attract butterflies
Trees:
- 1 Honey Crisp Apple Tree
- 1 Macintosh Apple Tree
- 1 Cherry Bush
Grapes
- Concord grape vine along fence
All of the produce goes to Ms. Olsen's cooking class during the school year.
