Meet Ms. Shaw

Hi! My name is Rachel Shaw and I am so excited to be a first grade teacher at Pine Lane Elementary! 

I graduated from Simpson College in Iowa with a Bachelors Degree in elementary education and Liberal Arts along with endorsements in early childhood, early childhood/special education, special education, and reading. 

I taught pre-k and kindergarten in Iowa for 5 years before moving to Parker, CO. After moving, I taught at American Academy in KindiePrep for 2 years. Then I took time off and ran a licensed in home childcare for almost 6 years. I returned back to public education last year with being an EA IV in the affective needs program at Pine Lane Elementary.

I have two kids, they are both at PLE. I have a son, Traxton, who is in third grade and a daughter, Kennasyn, who is in preschool.  When I am not working I love spending time with them and our 3 cats.
