Hi Pine Lane Families! My name is Alexandra De Bever and I am the School Counselor for the south building! I will be working with all the Kinder-3rd graders and my focus will be helping our students with their social emotional needs, their academic needs, and beginning to learn about life skills. I have been in the field of counseling/education for over 25 years and have had the wonderful opportunity to work in schools in California, Texas, Florida, and Virginia. I received both my Master’s Degree in School Counseling and my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University. I am originally from Lima, Peru so Spanish is my first language, I am also a mother of 4 adult children and an avid sports junkie! I play tennis, run and row competitively so I am excited to be part of the Pine Lane Crew! When not working with your students you will find me in the gym, at tennis matches, running races or attending rowing regattas throughout the US. Both my husband and I enjoy supporting our children in their athletic endeavours as well as being able to participate in our own competitive sports and traveling while doing it!
This year I will be working with students both individually and in group counseling support. I will also provide social-emotional lessons in the classroom.
