Meet Mrs. Kinner

Hi everyone! Welcome to STEM !

I am excited to be teaching with you this year!

I am a native New Yorker who came out to Colorado  with my husband, Michael, over 20 years ago. I have 2 daughters , Zoe and Regan, who enjoy living in Parker and we enjoy being together as a family. I have been teaching for over 25 years and I have a BA in Education, a Masters in Reading and Special Education, and a resume filled with professional development and research that is current with today's practice. My classroom is an Innovative Classroom that focuses on personalizing learning for my students and design challenges to build on their critical thinking skills.   I am passionate about teaching and love to meet children's book authors. In my free time, I enjoy baking, reading, and spending time with my family. I strongly believe that together we can make a difference.

We are all crew on this ship.

I believe that every student can learn, and I need to meet the needs of all the students in my classroom.

I believe that  my students will become critical thinkers with the skills to explore and solve problems that exist in the world around them.

I believe  each student will  communicate ideas effectively and share their learning with the world.

I believe my students will gain mastery of the skills that will allow them to compete in the cutting-edge, global work force of the 21st century.

I believe my students will have fun, learn a lot, and try their best every day.

I believe in making mistakes and improving on our skills each day .

I believe in allowing students to make choices in the classroom about their learning and personalizing it to meet their needs.

I believe in teaching kids to love learning.

I believe each student is in charge of their own learning.
